1Ensemble A is normally Concert Choir (MUS 101); Maverick Men's Chorus or Women's Chorale can also fulfill this requirement. Ensemble B can be any vocal ensemble under faculty supervision.
2Passing scores on theory placement exam is necessary to enroll in MUS 131 and MUS 133. Concurrent enrollment in MUS 131,133, and 162 is required.
3Students under this program study either voice (MUS 251) or piano (MUS 261) as their primary area. For singers, piano (MUS 261) is the Minor Applied Area; for pianists, voice (MUS 251) is the Minor Applied Area.
4The Piano Proficiency exam may be passed after preparing materials obtained from the instructor for the course, or through registration in MUS 160, MUS 161, and MUS 162.
