The Marriage of Figaro Spring 2009.
The Opera Theatre was established in the fall of 2005 upon the engagement of operatic baritone Dr. Kimm Julian. His rich and successful career has enhanced the program in the music department through his voice teaching and stage experience.
The opera theatre meets both fall and spring semesters with a major production each year. To date the department has presented Hansel and Gretel, The Abduction from the Seraglio, Carmen, The Marriage of Figaro, and Dominic Argento’s one act opera, Christopher Sly.
Spring semester will feature Mozart's Cosi fan tutte with performances on April 30 and May 2, 2010.
The Opera theatre is open to all students who audition. It is a credited course and meets Tuesday and Thursday from 4-5:30 and Wednesday from 4:30 to 5:30.
