Personal Safety Alert- Sexual Assault

On 11/03/2014, University Security received a report of an alleged sexual assault that occurred in a University Residence Community in early September 2014. The suspect was an acquaintance of the victim. University officials are investigating.

Personal Safety Alert-Burglary and Assault

At 5:18 a.m. today, police were dispatched to Julia A. Sears Residence Community, West Road, Minnesota State University, Mankato. Victim woke up to a person whose face was concealed with a mask. In a confrontation, the victim was sprayed with pepper spray and eventually the suspect fled. The victim received minor injuries. Arrested and taken to the local jail around 12:30 p.m. was: Alexander James Gowan-Nuehring, age 20, Mankato. Multiple charges are being requested.

Personal Safety Alert- Sexual Assault

On September 21, 2014, University Security and the Mankato Police department took a report of an alleged sexual assault that occurred in a University Residence Community earlier that day. The suspect was an acquaintance of the victim. The suspect was trespassed from all University Residence Communities.

On 09/09/2014 University Security and Mankato Police received additional information about an alleged report of a sexual assault that occurred on 09/07/2014 by an acquaintance in a room of an on campus Residence Community.

Personal Safety Alert- Sexual Assault

On 09/02/2014 University Security received a report of a sexual assault that occurred in a Residence Community earlier that evening. The suspect made sexual advances towards the victim, and forced sexual contact with the victim. The victim was able to leave the area and reported the incident to University Officials and the Mankato Police. The suspect was interviewed by the police and trespassed from the University Residence Communities.

On 09/02/2014 University Security received a third party report of a sexual assault that occurred in a Residence Community on 08/25/2014. Suspects have been identified and are known to the police.
