On 01/23/2011 at 3:10a.m. MSU Security and Mankato Police responded to a robbery in an MSU residence hall. It was reported that three males entered through an open door and confronted the residents. The suspects demanded that the residents give them their property.

The investigation into the sexual assault in a residential hall at MSU-Mankato that was reported to Mankato Police on November 7 has been concluded. The suspects in the case have been identified and interviewed about their involvement in the case and they were released after providing their statements. The case is being forwarded to the Blue Earth County Attorney’s Office for their review for possible criminal prosecution.

Mankato Department of Public Safety police officers and subsequently MSU Security officers responded to an incident on the lawn of 430 Ellis Avenue, McElroy Residence Community, around 7:41 p.m. on September 22, 2010. Witnesses described seeing a group of dark-skinned males fighting with one pointing a gun at other individuals within the group. An officer arrived moments after the call and discovered those directly involved had left the area.

On April 13, 2010 MSU Security collected the below information from the Mankato Police Department regarding a report of a sexual assault that was filed directly with the police on April 12, 2010. Mankato Department of Public Safety was notified on April 12, 2010 of an acquaintance sexual assault that occurred in one of the Residence Halls of MSU, Mankato in the early morning hours of April 11, 2010. All parties involved have been identified by the Mankato Police Department. The incident is under investigation.

On 11/25/2009 MSU Security took a report of a sexual assault that occurred in an MSU residence hall in July of 2009. The victim reported that that an acquaintance sexually assaulted her while she was sleeping. The victim was not physically injured during the incident and was able to leave the room.

On 11/03/2009 Security and the Mankato Police took a report of two sexual assaults by contact that occurred on 10/31/2009. One assault occurred at an off campus apartment and the other at an on campus residence hall. Both assaults are believed to have been committed by the same suspect.
