American-based blues and folk guitarist Eric Bibb will perform in concert at Minnesota State University, Mankato Tuesday, Sept. 26, as part of the 2006 Performance Series.

The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. in Halling Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. General admission is $18; students K-12 are $12; and tickets for students with a valid ID are $9.

Bibb blends traditional American style with a subtle, contemporary sensibility. His 2002 album, "Painting Signs," was named one of the year's top 5, and was at number 27 for two weeks. Bibb's talents have been described as an "enriching experience, both musically and spiritually" and have been recognized with a Grammy nomination. He is the son of folk singer Leon Bibb, and the late jazz pianist John Lewis is his uncle. For tickets, call (507) 389-5549.
