On February 1, 2009 Security and the Mankato Police took a report of a sexual assault that occurred in an MSU Residence Hall.
The victim reported that the male was a recent acquaintance visiting campus. The assault occurred after returning to the residence halls with a group of friends. The victim was able to leave the room and get help.
A suspect has been identified and located by the Mankato Police. The incident is currently under investigation.
