On February 7, 2009, at approximately 11:45pm, MSU Security and the Mankato Police were alerted to a sexual assault that had occurred on the MSU campus.
An adult female was walking in the hallway of the Performing Arts Center when she was confronted by an unknown male. This male wrapped his arms around her and then grabbed her over the clothing in a sexually aggressive manner.
The suspect is described as an African-American male in his early 20’s, 5 foot 8 inches tall with a slim build. He has no facial hair and was wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The Mankato Department of Public Safety is working with MSU officials to identify the suspect in this case. Anyone with information is urged to contact Mankato’s on-duty police commander at 507-387-8780.
