The President's Commission on the Status of Women is accepting applications to select a Minnesota State University, Mankato representative to attend one of the annual Higher Education Resource Services Institutes for Women.
The purpose of these Institutes is to advance women leaders in the middle and executive levels of higher education administration.
Applicants can choose between the Bryn Mawr College Institute during the summer or the University of Denver Institute in the fall.
The HERS Bryn Mawr Institute is a two-week program that will be held from June 18-July 2, 2010 in Pennsylvania. The Denver Institute will be held in Colorado during three intermittent sessions: Aug. 1-7, Sept. 9-11 and Oct. 21-23, 2010.
The Minnesota State Mankato application process includes completion of the HERS application form, a self-descriptive letter, a letter of recommendation from a supervisor and a resume. A printable application form is available at the Commission's Web site.
Applications are due Thursday, Nov. 19 and can be submitted to Elizabeth Lindstrom in Centennial Student Union Room 218.
Priority will be given to applicants who have a strong interest in bringing new insight and investing their leadership skills into the Minnesota State Mankato campus community. Past applicants are encouraged to reapply.
