Grow a 'Mo' for cancer awareness

'Movember' raises prostate, testicular cancer awareness during November

2009-11-04

Male students, faculty and staff are encouraged to support growing cancer awareness by growing a moustache throughout November.

Movember is a month-long moustache growing charity event that is held during the month formerly known as November and strives to raise awareness and funds for prostate and testicular cancer.

Participants should start Nov. 1 clean-shaven and grow a ‘Mo’ for the entire month - no beards or goatees, just moustaches!  Invite family and friends to support ‘Mo’- growing through encouragement, donations and possibly even a ‘Mo’ of their own.

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in college-aged students, and one in six adult males will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his life.

Visit www.BeAMoverick.com for more information on Movember, men's health and how to donate to the cause.
