Consequences of Web Political Campaigning to be Discussed by Expert at Minnesota State Mankato Nov. 2

Mankato, Minn. – Consequences of Web campaigning by presidential candidates will be discussed by public discourse expert Bruce E. Gronbeck in an Andreas Public Scholar talk Monday, Nov. 2, at Minnesota State Mankato.

Gronbeck, A. Craig Baird Distinguished Professor of Public Address at the University of Iowa, will discuss “The 2007-08 Presidential Campaign and the Web: Political, Social, and Ethical Consequences” at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Ostrander Auditorium of Centennial Student Union.

Gronbeck has written or co-authored nearly a dozen books and many articles about public speaking, rhetoric, television communication and presidential campaign styles.

His Andreas talk is sponsored by Minnesota State Mankato’s Department of Communication Studies, and is free and open to students, faculty, staff and the public. Those who want more information may contact the Department of Communication Studies, (507) 389-2213.
