Single-sign-on convenience in new myMNSU Toolbar

The next generation of portal "lite"

Single-sign-on access to D2L, email, calendar, MavDISK, in a toolbar that follows you around MNSU.edu

2010-03-16

Once Minnesota State Mankato students, faculty and staff are logged in to their new myMNSU Toolbar, they can see their unopened emails, how much cash is left on their MavCASH account, or single-click to their D2L homepage. No additional log-ins are necessary to take advantage of all the online services listed below:

  • D2L: link to logged-in homepage (same for all others below; other features are described)
  • Register for classes
  • Check grades
  • Check financial aid
  • Student paystub (for student workers/workstudy students only)
  • MavMAIL inbox: displays unopened emails
  • MavMAIL calendar: displays your scheduled appointments for the next three days
  • MavDISK
  • MavCASH: displays remaining cash balance
  • Library: displays checked-out resources, due dates; click to renew online

image of myMNSU ToolbarThe best part of this is that you'll see your myMNSU Toolbar on almost every page on the MNSU.EDU website. It will follow you from page to page, ready to bring you to your educational and business transaction pages, without stopping for an extra login.

Hide it if you want

If you don't want to have your myMNSU Toolbar visible on the bottom of the page, click on the flame logo, and the toolbar tucks away, leaving the flame visible at the bottom left. Ready to display your toolbar? Click the flame again, and it's ready to use.

How do you log in?

In the footer of every page (except the home page), you'll see a link "myMNSU Toolbar Login". When you log in, you can select short-term or long-term permission. The short login time is 30 minutes, while the extended login lasts for 12 hours. Extended login should not be used on public computers, or if you lend your laptop to another person.
