On Monday, 11/08/2010, Minnesota State University, Mankato Security was notified of a sexual assault that was reported to the Mankato Department of Public Safety.
On Sunday, at 4 p.m., the Mankato Department of Public Safety responded to a report of a sexual assault that had occurred in a residence hall room on the campus of Minnesota State Mankato. The victim reported that she was allegedly sexually assaulted by three separate black males during the incident.
The suspects were not known to the victim.
The investigation is active and ongoing at this time by the Mankato Department of Public Safety.

Sexual assault is not sex; it is an act of violence. Although some people are assaulted by strangers, many other victims know their assailant.
