November 14-18 National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Exhibit

Remember November is a month long campaign dedicated to promoting hunger awareness and celebrating the way Minnesota State University Students, faculty and staff work with community partners in support of our neighbors managing food insecurity. This week features a partner exhibit and activities in the lower level of CSU.

National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Exhibit

Remember November is a month long campaign dedicated to promoting hunger awareness and celebrating the way Minnesota State University Students, faculty and staff work with community partners in support of our neighbors managing food insecurity.

This week features an exhibit in the lower level of Centennial Student Union that will allow participants to learn about hunger and homelessness in our community and how Minnesota State University Mankato students, faculty and staff and community partners strive to support our neighbors! This year's events are evolving as we move forward and include:

Collaborative Exhibit...Featuring ECHO Food Shelf, Salvation Army, Feeding our Community Partners, Partners for Affordable Housing, Kids Against Hunger, Habitat for Humanity, Blue Earth County Social Services, Second Harvest, and MNSU Own....Campus Kitchen...Lower level of the CSU Monday - Friday during building open hours!  Partner presentations at 12 noon!

 Free popcorn Monday - Friday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.!

 Rock Away Hunger...Music Production Class Benefit at the Red Sky, 520 South Front Street, Mankato, MN,  featuring...The Noble Gases and Dr. Lee and the Terminally Chill!  Wednesday, November 16th, 7p.m.-10:30p.m.  $3.00 at the door or two donated food items...MOST appreciated!  All ages 7-10:00 p.m.

Sing for THEIR Supper...a Karaoke Fundraiser....Lower level of the CSU Monday - Friday 11 a.m. - 12 noon!  Tips...accepted!

 Happening Hennas and Facepainting!  Donations accepted.

Origami Give Back...learn to make origami forms from bills that you donate to Campus Kitchen Monday-Friday 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.!

 Make a Thanksgiving Card for Campus Kitchen meal recipients!

 Apples to Apples, Bop it, Hula Hoops, Bean Bag Toss, Backgammon....good old fashioned fun and games!!!
