The MSU, Mankato Maverick Forensics Team traveled to St. Cloud, MN on February 3rd and 4th to compete in the 2012 Icebox Classic. The results are as follows:
Zach Aufenthie: 5th in After Dinner Speaking, 4th in POI
Cade Shelton: 3rd in Duo (with Skylar Carlson)
Ryan Zahn: 2nd in Communication Analysis
Jordan Christiansen: 6th in Duo (with Caitlin Frymet), 4th in Prose Nicole Hudak: 6th in Persuasion, 4th in Poetry, 3rd in Prose
Caitlin Frymet: 6th in Duo (with Jordan Christiansen), 5th in Prose, 2nd in Duo (with Nathan Pasmore)
Skylar Carlson: 3rd in Duo (with Cade Shelton), 1st in After Dinner Speaking
Megan Nutting: 2nd in Poetry, 2nd in Drama Nathan Pasmore: 6th in Poetry, 2nd in Duo (with Caitlin Frymet), 2nd in Prose, 2nd in Informative, 3rd in Individual Sweepstakes
The Mavericks took home 2nd place as a team!
On January 28th and 29th, the MSU-Mankato Forensics team competed on their home turf and nearby Gustavus Adolphus College to compete in the Mid-American Forensic League Tournaments #5 and #6. The Mavericks competed against 11 other schools, including Bradley University , the University of Northern Iowa, and University of Wisconsin Madison. The Mavericks made a strong presence! Freshman, Caitlin Frymet: 6th place in Duo Interpretation Freshman, Nathan Pasmore: 6th place in Informative Speaking
Sophomore, Maggie Pence: 6th place in Extemporaneous Speaking, 6th place in Persuasive Speaking Junior, Nicole Hudak: 3rd place in Persuasive Speaking, 6th place in Communication Analysis
