Minnesota State Mankato (51-12 overall) fell to Delta State 6-5 on Friday in the NCAA Division II College Baseball World Series in Cary, N.C.
The loss marked an end to Minnesota State Mankato’s historic season.
The team recorded a school single-season record 51 wins, and its third-place finish in the NCAA Division II College Baseball World Series tied for the best in school history.
“It was a fun season and we made a great run,” head coach Matt Magers said. “There are a lot of positive things that happened during the year and to be third place in the nation is a great honor.”
