New MBA Coordinator in Edina
Chris Brown Mahoney is first College of Business professor whose office will be located in Edina
Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s College of Business announced that Chris Brown Mahoney has been named master of business administration (MBA) program coordinator at Minnesota State Mankato’s 7700 France Avenue location in Edina, Minn.
Brown Mahoney, who was recently hired as an associate professor in the College of Business’s Management Department, is the first Minnesota State Mankato College of Business professor whose office will be permanently located in Edina.
As coordinator of the MBA program, Brown Mahoney’s presence in Edina is expected to help redefine and promote the quality of Minnesota State Mankato’s MBA program in the Twin Cities, said Marilyn Fox, professor of management and MBA director.
“We are pleased to have Dr. Brown Mahoney at Minnesota State Mankato’s Edina location to serve our current MBA students, recruit new students, and establish partnerships with businesses as we continue to provide the highest quality programs and lifelong learning,” said Fox.
Brown Mahoney has a doctorate in human resources and industrial relations from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She has more than 25 years of experience as a professor, researcher and consultant in such areas as health care management and policy, labor supply, compensation and productivity, and statistical methods. She has published over 35 articles in these areas.
Prior to joining the Minnesota State Mankato faculty, Brown Mahoney was most recently a faculty member at Cleveland State University, where she was an assistant professor of health care administration in the Department of Management and Labor Relations. Prior to that, she was a National Institute of Mental Health fellow at the University of California, Berkeley.
