Community Engagement Office to Host Remember November 2012 Join the Community Engagement Leadership Team, student volunteers, and campus and community partners as we Remember November! This event is inspired to celebrate the way campus and community collaborate to promote student driven hunger relief!
This year’s events include:
Turkey Palooza: 11/1-11/30Campus Kitchen Holiday Fundraiser. Individuals and departments are invited to donate to offset the cost of Campus Kitchen Thanksgiving dinner and meal service expenses. Donation boxes are at each cash register in the Centennial Student Union or can be brought to our office in CSU 185!
National Hunger and Homelessness Week Partner Exhibit 11/12- 11/15: The Face of Hunger and Homelessness All week in the CSU Flex Space. This exhibit will showcase our community partners and demonstrate how our community works together to relieve hunger. Activities, surprises and free popcorn all week!
Make and Take Holiday Cards: Start your Holiday in style by making cards for that special someone or for one of Campus Kitchen meal recipients. Offered in the lower level CSU throughout our partner exhibit! Evening Presentation11/13/12: Jonathan Bloom, Author, American Wasteland. 7-8:30 p.m. in the CSU Ballroom Helping Hands Across America Food Drive and Chili Cook Off Sponsored by Sodexo 11/14: Join us on MavAve between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to sample this year’s best! Proceeds to benefit Campus Kitchen! Hunger Banquet: Stay tuned for more details!
Campus Kitchen at Crossroads Open House: Stop by and see our new home! Thursday, 11/15 from 4:30 -6:30 Crossroads Lutheran Campus Ministry 331 Dillon Avenue . Refreshments will be served.
Fun Friday: Our grand finale will be in the flex space that will include music, partner presentations and for sure popcorn!
