Nov. 19: Documentary Film on Forgiveness

Two segments of PBS film to be shown.

Mankato, Minn. – Two segments of a PBS documentary film, “Forgiveness – A Time to Love & A Time to Hate,” will be shown on Monday, Nov. 19 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Centennial Student Union. Each segment will be followed by a discussion.

The film segments and discussion periods are free and open to the general public and will be shown in CSU rooms 284 A, B and C.

The two film segments to be shown at Minnesota State Mankato are approximately 20 to 30 minutes in length. One of the featured segments will examine the Rwandan genocide of 1994 through first-hand witness testimony. It considers whether or not forgiveness can be legislated by a nation. The other featured segment will address two women who were savagely attacked while camping in Oregon.
