The Minnesota State University, Mankato women's basketball team has jumped out to a 7-1 overall record and 4-1 mark in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action.
The Mavericks beat Southwest State 86-56 on Friday in Marshall, Minn., and then lost their first game of the season on Saturday, falling to Sioux Falls 77-64 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Minnesota State Mankato returns home for a Dec. 19 non-conference game against Dakota State. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the Taylor Center.
