The Minnesota State University, Mankato men's hockey team 10-6-2 overall and 8-6-0 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association after splitting a series in Omaha, Neb., against Nebraska-Omaha on Dec. 14-15.
The Mavericks extended their winning streak to seven games with a 6-3 win over UNO in the series opener before losing 5-1 in the series finale.
Minnesota State Mankato is currently in fourth place in the WCHA standings with 16 points, just two points behind league-leading St. Cloud State.
