Agatha Christie's classic presented by theatre and dance department.
Minnesota State University, Mankato Department of Theatre & Dance News Release 2-1-13
Find out what happens as eight strangers are lured to an island by an unknown host when the Minnesota State University, Mankato Department of Theatre & Dance presents Agatha Christie’s classic whodunit, “And Then There Were None,” Feb. 21-March 3 in the Ted Paul Theatre of the Earley Center for Performing Arts.
In this superlative mystery-comedy, statuettes of soldiers on the mantel of an island house off the coast of Devon, England, fall to the floor and break one by one as those in the house succumb to a diabolical avenger. A nursery rhyme tells how each of the 10 “soldiers” met his death until “there were none.” Gradually, the guests fall victim to the fates foretold.
Faculty member Heather E. Hamilton directs the Minnesota State Mankato debut of this show. Costume design is by Angela Sahli, third-year MFA candidate, with scene design by BFA candidate Mary Jane Olson and sound design by BFA candidate Curtis Fliegel.
Performances are 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21-23 & Feb. 28-March 1, with 2 p.m. matinees March 2 & 3. Individual tickets for “And Then There Were None” are $16 regular, $14 for senior citizens, youth 16 and under and groups of 15 or more, and $11 for current Minnesota State Mankato students.
