'American Idol' winner to perform. Tickets are sold out.

Mankato, Minn. – Phillip Phillips, “American Idol” season 11 winner and triple platinum recording artist, will perform at Minnesota State University, Mankato in an 8 p.m. concert on Wednesday, April 10 in the Centennial Student Union Ballroom.
Sponsored by the IMPACT Programming Board, Phillips and a special guest will perform for Minnesota State University students and the general public as IMPACT’s spring concert. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Minnesota State Mankato students will be able to purchase tickets in person for $10 with MavCARD student ID STARTING AT NOON on Wednesday, Feb. 13. After student tickets go on sale starting at noon Feb. 13, they will be on sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday for as long as tickets are available. Students will receive one ticket per MavCARD student ID. A MavCARD and student ticket is required for admission.
Limited $20 tickets for general public admission WILL GO ON SALE FRIDAY, FEB. 15 AT NOON. After the public tickets go on sale on Friday at noon, they will be available from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. until sold.
Tickets may be purchased online at www.csuevents.com for credit card sales only. Ticket purchases by cash or check only can be made in the Student Activities Office of the Centennial Student Union located in CSU 173. Tickets are limited to room capacity.
Phillips’ hit single “Home” has sales of over 3.4 million making it the most successful coronation song of any American Idol winner. Phillips first album, “The World From The Side Of The Moon,” debuted at number 4 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart in November. Phillips’ new single, “Gone. Gone, Gone,” is currently climbing the charts.
In addition to recently touring with Matchbox 20, Phillips has been on “The Ellen Show,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and on the premiere of “American Idol” season 12.
