The Honors Program at Minnesota State University, Mankato invites applications for a probationary position as Assistant Director of Honors and University Fellowship Coordinator. Duties include assisting the Honors Program Director in fulfilling honors programming, advising, and administrative responsibilities, and providing guidance to undergraduates about major national fellowships and scholarships across all academic disciplines. Applicants must have earned a Master’s Degree; have a minimum of one (1) year of experience with an Honors Program in a student, graduate student, or staff role; demonstrable knowledge of an Honors Program as well as experience with applying for and potentially receiving national or international fellowships; and demonstrable experience with national fellowship application systems and knowledge of fellowship requirements. A probationary position within the MSUAASF bargaining unit does not mean that the position is temporary, nor that it is funded with soft money. It means that after a certain period of time and following positive annual reviews, the person holding the position will attain a status akin to tenure for faculty.
