Nov. 6: Facility Energy Savings Workshop
Workshop to demonstrate “how to” of facility upgrades with deep energy retrofits.

Mankato, Minn. – The Energy Services Coalition’s Minnesota Chapter is hosting a regional workshop on facility upgrades that use deep energy retrofits from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6 in Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Centennial Student Union Ballroom.
The “Energy Savings Performance Contracting” workshop will demonstrate the “how to” of upgrading facilities with deep energy retrofits through budget-neutral financing that uses guaranteed savings and eliminates the need for capital appropriations.
The workshop is designed for executive decision makers, finance officers and facilities directors of Minnesota state agencies and departments, two-year and four-year colleges and universities, K-12 school districts and local governments, and is free and open to students and anyone who pre-registers (Online Attendee Registration). Seating is limited. Food and beverages will be provided throughout the day.

According to Johnson, Minnesota State Mankato was selected to host this year’s regional workshop because of the university’s work toward becoming a more sustainable campus and its location.
The Energy Services Coalition, according to its website, is a national non-profit organization
composed of a network of experts from a wide range of organizations working together at the
state and local level to increase energy efficiency and building upgrades through energy savings performance contracting.
Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 15,409 students, is part of the Minnesota State Colleges & Universities system, which comprises 31 state institutions.
