Each year the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Affairs program partners with recognized AAPI student organizations to host the Asian Pacific American Conference (APAC) to promote Asian and Pacific Islander heritage and current issues pertaining to the community.
In 2005, APAC transformed from a symposium format to a full conference and hence changed its name from the Asian American Symposium to Asian Pacific American Conference while its goals and objectives remain the same – to create a forum where practitioners and professionals can come together to identify ideas and find the best practices to better serve current AAPI college students to provide leadership and networking opportunities for them to serve their community.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Be-You-ti-Full: Unleashing Your Inner Potential.” The conference focuses on defining the beauty that is within an individual and how they can unleash their hidden talent. This two day conference held on April 3rd& 4th,2014 will explore the educational experiences of AAPI students and identify their inner potential to find the right path for the future.
