The Dept. of Psychology, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and the College of Arts and Humanities are pleased to present a lecture/performance by Dr. Richard Kogan, a Juilliard-trained concert pianist and Harvard-educated psychiatrist. Dr. Kogan will present 'The Mind and Music of George Gershwin', exploring the impact of psychological factors and psychiatric illness on the creative output of the great American composer George Gershwin. The program will include performances of Gershwin masterpieces such as Rhapsody in Blue and Porgy and Bess.

 

This lecture/performance will take place at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 28th, in the Wiecking Auditorium (WC 220), and is free and open to the public. Please share this information with any faculty, staff, students, or community members who may be interested!
