City of Mankato Snow Removal
City announced snow emergency starting at 10 p.m. Thursday, March 6 in downtown corridor.

NOTE: Minnesota State University, Mankato students and the entire university community are encouraged to keep their vehicles off city streets during snow emergencies to avoid having vehicles towed and incurring expensive towing charges. The following announcement is posted on behalf of the City of Mankato:
CITY OF MANKATO NEWS RELEASE (Thursday, March 6, 2014)
Mankato - Tonight at 10 p.m., a snow emergency goes into effect for Mankato's downtown corridor from Riverfront Drive to Broad Street and from Madison Avenue to Liberty Street. When a downtown corridor snow emergency is in effect, there is no parking on these streets so snow can be removed quickly and efficiently.
Temporary parking is available downtown at no cost in the Mankato Place and Civic Center parking ramps during snow emergencies. Parking is also allowed in yards during a snow emergency. Mankato's downtown snow emergency expires at 8 a.m., tomorrow morning (Friday, March 7).
