50 Minnesota State Mankato Students to Present at MnSCU Undergraduate Research Conference

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato will send 50 students to make 36 presentations at the third annual Minnesota State Colleges & Universities Undergraduate Research Conference of Scholarly and Creative Activity on Monday, April 14 at Minnesota State University Moorhead.
The conference will feature more than 200 student presentations in a wide variety of disciplines by students from all MnSCU universities, including Minnesota State Mankato, Winona State University, St. Cloud State University, Metropolitan State University, Minnesota State University Moorhead, Southwest Minnesota State University and Bemidji State University. The state’s community colleges will also participate.
The purpose of the conference is to provide undergraduate students from any MnSCU university the opportunity to present their research, scholarly, and creative projects through poster and oral presentations, visual displays and performance art. The conference, which is organized and hosted by a different institution within the consortium every two years, also provides intercampus engagement for faculty members and students. The conference highlights undergraduate research that takes place on campuses and is intended to establish the MnSCU system as a leader of undergraduate research.
