Minnesota State Mankato to Host 2015 Upper Midwest Regional Honors Conference
The theme of the 2015 conference is “Confluence and Conflict”
Minnesota State University, Mankato has been selected to host the 2015 Upper Midwest Regional Honors Conference, an annual conference in which honors students from around the region present their research, scholarly and creative projects.
The theme of the 2015 conference is “Confluence and Conflict,” and will include talks by Minnesota State Mankato faculty members Shannon Fisher and Gwen Westerman. Fisher, director of the Water Resources Center, will lecture on the area’s regional river system. Westerman, director of the University’s Humanities Program, will discuss Dakota history and culture.
The conference, taking place March 26 through March 28, 2015, is expected to include 200 students from Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, North and South Dakota, Nebraska and Wisconsin.
