2014-09-22

"Good Thunder Presents” is an extension program of the Good Thunder Reading Series that brings creative writing to the community.

On Friday, September 26, MFA students Clair Rogers and Tom Delano will begin providing on-going writing workshops for residents at Ecumen Pathstone Living in Mankato.

At 7:30pm on Saturday, October 4, MFA students Kit Arbuckle, Alicia Catt, and Michael Torres will read true stories related to the theme “Disguises” at the St. Peter Art Center.  Live music will be provided by the duo Mrs. Hammerschmidt and Jim.  This event is free and open to the public.

From 12pm-1pm on Saturday, November 15, MFA alumna Trisha Speed-Shashkin, who has written over forty books for young readers, will give a reading and lead a sing-along for kids ages 4-7 and their families at The 410 Project, an art gallery in downtown Mankato. Following the reading, Dana Sikkila, director of The 410, will lead a children's art project.  This event is free and open to the public.
