College of Business and Taylor Corporation Receive Greater Mankato Growth Award

Brian Fazio Business Education Partnership Award



The Minnesota State Mankato College of Business partnership with the Taylor Corporation Innovation Center was honored with the Brian Fazio Business Education Partnership Award during the 2014 Greater Mankato Business Awards and Halls of Fame event held Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Verizon Wireless Center. The event is a time to honor some of Greater Mankato's most outstanding businesses, organizations and professionals.

Community leader Brian Fazio stressed the economic importance of parternships between businesses and education the benefit the community, which is the focus of the award.

The partnership with Taylor Corporation began a little over a year ago by filling positions at Taylor with interns and providing Minnesota State Mankato College of Business students with quality internship experiences that are relevant to their career path. Since the partnership's inception, Taylor has provided more than 30 internships, 14 of which were in the Innovation Center. 

About the Taylor Corporation Innovation Center

The Taylor Corporation Innovation Center is designed to bring students of varying disciplines together in a modern think-tank environment and in collaborative teams to work on real-world projects for Taylor Corp companies. Such projects have included an e-commerce website, extensive market research, and building social media presence.
