The show starts at 7:30. Music will be provided by Lightning Betty and the Joyful Fables, and includes selections from Guns N Roses, Richard Marx, the Rolling Stones, and Mr. Big. James Figy will read his essay "Godzilla or Godot." In it, he describes two types of waiting: "waiting because you must and waiting because you can. The first means you can't do anything. The second means you don't want to. I don't want to tell my ex-girlfriend that I'm dating her best friend but she finds out anyway."
Emily Johnson will read "What Kills." "A gun," she writes, "an old Remington or Colt, retrieved from the top shelf of my father’s closet and coated in dust...We look at it; he looks at it. The raccoon has rabies and is going to die."
Tyler Barton will read "Big Data on the Band": "Times the cop referred to Ding-Dong-Ditch as 'soft-core terrorism': 9
Total convictions: 17 (6 Summary, Trespassing; 11 Misdemeanors, Theft)
Restitution for stolen road signs: $650
Physical fights between band members: Nil
Verbal fights between band members: Hundreds"
