Honors Program Receives the Excellence in Curriculum Programming Award
Minnesota State Mankato’s Honors Program was one of four programs within the MnSCU system to receive the Excellence in Curriculum Programming Award. According to the award description, it is presented to programs that "produce graduates ready to take on the challenges of life after college. They are programs that demonstrate they are in high demand by having consistently high enrollments and high graduation rates".
Minnesota State Mankato’s Honors Program exhibits high retention rates and excellent placement rates upon graduation and is a powerful, strategic measure of the institution’s increasing resolve to foster academic excellence for all students. It was recognized for its competency-based mission, focusing on three core pillars – leadership, research, and global citizenship – and for providing highly motivated students with exceptional learning opportunities, mentoring relationships, and a community of scholars that foster their development as future leaders in a global society.
