Battle of the Bands is back! Come enjoy some music performed by your peers and vote for your favorite in each category!


MANKATO, Minn. –The Student Events Team will be hosting their second annual Battle of the Bands on campus, Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016. This event will start at 7 p.m. and go until 10:30 p.m.

Battle of the Bands is showcase of Minnesota State University, Mankato students to perform among their peers. It’ll be a night full of music and memories to be made, win or lose.

"Battle of the Bands is a great way to showcase student talent,” said Alex Wieland, Concerts Student Events Team Chairman.

Battle of the Bands is free and open to the public. Students attending will be given the opportunity to vote for the band they liked the best and pick the winner of the competition.

Battle of the Bands is an opportunity for students to perform on stage for other their peers and showcase their talents. Its compete to see who is the best performer at MSU Mankato.

"I love seeing the bands formed by students perform on campus,” said Megan Larson, Business Manager of the Student Events Team.

The Student Events Team is a student-led organization that produces fun, interactive, educational events where students make lifelong memories and celebrate their Maverick pride.

The Student Events Team’s corporate sponsor this year is Live Active Apartments.
