Eleven Honors Students Present at Regional Conference
Honors Presentation Recognized
Eleven honors students, Nyairah Abdullah (Psychology, '19), Sarah Aldrich (Spanish Education, '18), Kate Anderson (Human Resource Management & Spanish, '17), Sara Baranczyk (Communication Arts and Literature Education & Physics Education, '19), Andreea Bogdan (International Relations, ’19) Quentina Dunbar (Gender and Women's Studies, '17), Brook Ferede (Management Information Systems, ’19), Asha Khalif (Nursing, ’19), Ana Leyva (Music Education, '19), Katelynn Malecha (Exercise Science & Pre OT, '18), and Ayoola Okuribido (Automobile Engineering Technology, ’17), and two honors staff members, Anne Dahlman (director of the Honors Program), and Ginny Walters (assistant director of the Honors Program & University Fellowships Coordinator), attended and presented at the Upper Midwest Regional Honors Conference held in Brookings, S.D., from March 23-25. The theme of this year's conference was "Wherever you are, be there."
The presentation, "Honors Equity Ambassadors: Creating Inclusive Learning Spaces," given by Anne Dahlman and students Nyairah Abdullah, Quentina Dunbar, and Ana Leyva was recognized as the top presentation at the conference.
