Minnesota State Mankato to host Student Night at the Mankato MoonDogs

The Student Activities, and the Centennial Student Union is hosting a night at the Mankato MoonDogs on June 15, at 7:05 p.m. Minnesota State Mankato Students can purchase a discounted ticket package for $10.
Admission is $10 with a valid MAVCard. Students are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance. The admission includes a reserved seat ticket, MoonDogs Baseball Hat, and a Meal deal. The Meal Deal includes a hotdog, chips, and pop. Thanks to the Mankato MoonDogs this event will be offered at a reduced rate. The package value is over $30.00.
“I love Baseball in the summer. We are excited to partner with the MoonDogs to let Mavericks experience summer baseball in Mankato,” said John Bulcock, Assistant Director of Student Activities.
Tickets are limited and on a first come first serve basis. Online pre-purchase has closed please purchase your ticket at the Moondogs Will-Call Window with MAVcard. The Student Activities office is located in the Centennial Student Union in room 173. Limited ticket may be available day of for purchase at the MoonDogs ticket office.
The 2016 Mankato MoonDogs went down as one of the best in franchise history. The team had a 46-26 record, putting them at the top of the list for regular season wins, eclipsing the previous mark of 42.
The 2016 MoonDogs also broke franchise records with 695 hits and 2,490 at-bats this season. Overall, the MoonDogs offense finished third in the league with a .279 batting average, also good for third in MoonDogs history as was their .373 on base percentage.
The pitching staff held their own in the record books, too. The team set a new mark in innings pitched with 637.1, while boasting the fifth-lowest ERA in team history (3.54). Mankato hurlers also allowed the lowest hit total since the 2011 season with 593. As a collective, the MoonDogs pitching staff held opponents to a .245 batting average in 2016.
