June 28: Public Invited to Community Planning Workshop
Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship hosting event thanks to grant from Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation.

Mankato, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato’s Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship is hosting a free community planning workshop from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 28 in the University’s Centennial Student Union Ballroom.
The “Dream Big, Learn Big, Go Big Workshop” will provide an opportunity for community improvement projects to be considered for up to $20,000 in funding through a grant from the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation.
Event attendees are invited to participate in helping define and develop a shared vision for the future of innovation and entrepreneurship in the greater Mankato area and surrounding region. Business leaders, educators, students and community members are encouraged to attend the workshop.
The workshop will address:
- What does our regional area already have that supports new ideas and new businesses?
- What do we need to enrich our entrepreneurial ecosystem?
A complimentary dinner will be served, and free parking is available in the visitor pay lot across from Centennial Student Union. Attendees are asked to register online in advance of the event.
