Celebrate your MAV pride in February!




Come celebrate spring semester during the week of February 12 to the 15! Each day will consist of different events that students will be able to enjoy. All events are free so come celebrate your Spring Maverick Pride!

MSU Snow Days was a weekly winter celebrate during the 1980s through early 2000s. the Centennial Student Union and Student events Team is reviving the university tradition.

“School spirit can weigh in the spring semester as people get back into their routine and focus on school, plus the weather doesn’t help. Snow Dazes goal is to bring that spirit alive in the middle of February” said Kylie Morton.

The following events are from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m.,

·         February 12 will be Soda Ring Toss and Karaoke in the Lincoln Lounge.

·         February 13 will be Mini-golf hole with prizes in Hearth Lounge and Big Screen Rock Band will be in Ostrander.

·         February 14 will be a Food Eating contest in the Hearth Lounge and from 8 p.m. till 10 p.m. in the Bullpen, there will be free bowling and trivia so bring your friends and enjoy the night!

·         February 15 will be Snow Drop Bingo on the CSU mall.

Evening Events:

·         February 14 from 8 p.m. till 10 p.m. in the Bullpen, there will be free bowling and trivia so bring your friends and enjoy the night!

·         February 15 at 7 p.m., there will be Family Feud in the CSU Ballroom. Participate can create teams to win prizes and see their friends on stage.

Bid Screen Rockband puts the performers on-stage in front of their friends. Groups can performer their favorite songs on the video game Rock band with concert quality lighting and sound.  On lookers can give tips for their favorite performers with 100% of the tips benefiting the Dance Marathon and Children’s Miracle Network.

“I’m excited to play become a Rockstar for a day and win some soda pop! There is so much to do during that week and I cannot wait to experience all of it!” said Miranda Magnuson.



Snow Drop Bingo is a new event that the Students Events Team is bringing to campus. Students and faculty will have the opportunity to sign up for a bingo spaces each day in the CSU on a large bingo sheet. The sign-up location will be on a sandwich board in the CSU mall. On Thursday, a live animal will be brought to the Campus mall. The first space to have pony facieses on it will be the winner.  Prizes include giftcards and gift package to the winners.
