Novelist Stephen Graham Jones will be here for Good Thunder on Thursday, February 22.

Jones is a Blackfeet Native American author of experimental fiction, horror fiction, crime fiction, and science fiction.  He's published over 15 novels, (including from William Morrow, the werewolf novel “Mongrels”), five short stories collections, and over 170 stories in journals ranging from Alaska Quarterly Review to Weird Tales, from Asimov’s to Prairie Schooner.  His books have been finalists for the Bram Stoker Award, three Shirley Jackson Awards and the Colorado Book Award. Jones has won the Texas Institute of Letters Award for Fiction, the This is Horror “Novel of the Year,” the Independent Publisher’s Award for Multicultural Fiction, and he’s been a National Endowment of the Arts Fellow in Fiction. Jones earned his doctorate from Florida State University and currently teaches at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Stephen is giving a writing workshop from 10-11:00 a.m. at the Emy Frentz Gallery, located at 523 S. 2nd St. in Mankato.

His craft talk is from 3-4 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church, located at 150 Stadium Court in Mankato.

He'll give a reading and sign books from 7:30-8:30 p.m. in CSU, Room 253.
