Grind-Fu Cinema Ends Its 2018 Season In Gruesome Style!

Grind-Fu Cinema ended its 2018 season with three creepy William Castle movies, and gruesome (but delicious) cake, and a whole bunch of die-hard movie nerds.

The final Grind-Fu Cinema screening of 2018 was what Bobby "Boris" Pickett would call "a graveyard smash"!  Typically, the October Grind-Fu screenings are over-the-top affairs filled with horror movies, as well as a cake that is just as delicious as it is gruesome.  Hosts Shyboy Tim and Shelley from Shuffle Function dressed as a luchadore and Ralpie from 'A Christmas Story', and several attendees also came in costume.  Twelve audience members survived the entire creepy night, and they were rewarded with Survival Certificates to prove it!

Grind-Fu has a tradition of having elaborate cakes made for the last screening of the season, and they have been lucky to have local artist Amber Rahe make them.  Her creations for Grind-Fu Cinema have gotten her international recognition, and she always says that they're her favorites cakes to make.  Here are some photos that illustrate just how amazing her work is.

Grind-Fu Cinema will return sometime in 2019 for another season of films that are good, bad and bizarre.  Keep your eyes peeled for more information!
