Mankato, MN — Four faculty and staff members from MSU?s College of Science, Engineering & Technology have received awards for excellent service in teaching, research, advising and support.
The awards were presented recently by Dr. John Frey, dean of the college. Award winners are:
The excellence in research award recognizes a faculty member who demonstrates a commitment to the importance of research. The excellence in advising award honors a faculty member who has made a significant difference in the lives of students as an academic advisor and career counselor. The excellence in teaching award goes to a faculty member who demonstrates extraordinary devotion to teaching and learning. The support staff award is for a person who amplifies the quality and efficiency of the learning environment.
The annual recognition program started in 2001. Students submit nominations for Excellence in Teaching, Excellence in Student Advising and Leadership, and Outstanding Support Staff. Faculty and staff members make nominations for Excellence in Faculty Research, and staff members nominate for Outstanding Support Staff.
