HLC team visit is critical for future of Minnesota State Mankato

Minnesota State Mankato hosts the Higher Learning Commission Accreditation Site Visit Team Monday through Wednesday, Feb. 6-8. In a message to the campus community, President Richard Davenport points out that the visit is critical for the future of the university. We want to make sure that we are able to tell the story of all the good that we do on our campus and in our community, state, region and nation, President Davenport says.

To the MSU Community:

As you are well aware, on February 6-8, 2006, we are hosting the Higher Learning Commission Accreditation Site Visit Team. We all know the importance of this visit for the future of Minnesota State Mankato. We also want to make sure that we are able to tell the story of all the good that we do on our campus and in our community, state, region and nation.

As part of the visit, there is a series of open sessions for MSU faculty, staff and students (see schedule below), as well as a series of focused meetings. Please attend the open sessions, be welcoming to our HLC visitors, and be prepared to answer any questions they may have for you. This is a very important time for the campus, so I encourage all student, staff and faculty to try to attend the open sessions. Supervisors, please work with employees so they can attend the open sessions and meet with the team visitors.
