Mankato - At their exit meeting Tuesday, March 20, HLC Consultant-Evaluators Dr. David Meabon and Dr. Donald Bennion announced that they will recommend full approval of the University's request to offer the Ed.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision.
In sharing the findings of their two-day focused visit, Drs. Meabon and Bennion were unequivocal in their praise of the Counseling and Student Personnel department faculty, its accomplishments, the quality of the Ed.D. proposal, and the leadership of the College of Education and the University. The team's recommendation that the program be fully approved with no contingencies will be final when the HLC Board takes action in June.
The CSP department is accepting applications for the Ed.D. program and will enroll its first students in fall 2007.
More information about the program is available at http://ed.mnsu.edu/csp/doctoral/
IMPORTANT NOTE: The admissions deadline for Fall, 2007 enrollment in the Ed.D. program has been modified to a rollling admissions process. Student applications will be accepted for Fall admission until the program is full, and are still being accepted at this time.
