More than 1,200 Minnesota State Mankato students will participate in three spring commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 12.
Ceremonies will be at 9 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. in Bresnan Arena of Taylor Center. Students in the colleges of Arts & Humanities and Science, Engineering & Technology will take part in the 9 a.m. ceremony; those with the colleges of Allied Health & Nursing and Education will participate in the noon event; and students in the colleges of Business and Social and Behavioral Sciences will be graduated in the 3 p.m. ceremony.
Master’s-degree candidates will graduate with the college of their affiliation.
Music for the three ceremonies will be provided by the Minnesota Valley Brass Quintet (Minnesota State Mankato faculty members Gerard Aloisio, Stewart Ross and Doug Snapp; emeriti faculty member Tom Giles; and alumnus Dave Schultz).
The graduates will be greeted by Mary Jacquart, director of government relations for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, and David Paskach, chair of the Board of Trustees.
Student speakers for the 9 a.m. ceremony will be Alison Mary Hansen, College of Arts & Humanities, and Eric John Raymer, College of Science, Engineering & Technology. Speakers for the noon ceremony will be Andrea Lauren Valberg, College of Allied Health & Nursing, and Heidi Jo Nistler, College of Education. Speakers for the 3 p.m. ceremony will be Emily Rachel Toot, College of Business, and Tamara Lynn Bell, College of Social & Behavioral Sciences.
