“Embracing American Indian Culture as a Foundation for Education” is the theme of the fourth annual Native Nations Conference Thursday and Friday, Sept. 18 and 19.
The educational and cultural conference features Bill Means, national director of the American Treaty Conference; Elaine Salinas, director of the Migizi Communications Program; Wyatt Thomas of the Santee (Nebraska) Dakota Tribal College, and others.
The event is sponsored by the Division of Institutional Diversity, with all sessions in the Minnesota State Mankato Centennial Student Union. Registration is at 8:30 p.m. Sept. 18, with sessions all day and a keynote dinner at 5:30 p.m. After the sessions on Sept. 19, participants will take part in the Mankato Wacipi from 7-11 p.m.
