Minnesota River Valley Wind Ensemble to perform Nov. 16

New and classic wind band compositions will be performed by the Minnesota River Valley Wind Ensemble Sunday, Nov. 16, in a concert sponsored by Minnesota State Mankato’s Department of Music.

The performance will be at 7:30 p.m. in Halling Recital Hall of the Minnesota State Mankato Performing Arts Center. General admission is $8; tickets for K-12 students are $4; and tickets for students with a valid MavCard are $4.

The 35-piece Minnesota River Valley Wind Ensemble performs repertoire for wind band with the highest level of musicianship.

Amy K. Roisum Foley is the ensemble’s director of bands, and is director of bands and a music faculty member at Minnesota State Mankato. Jay Eichhorst, director of instrumental music studies at Madelia High School and an active member and advisor in the Mankato Symphony Orchestra, is the ensemble’s assistant director.
