Compositions by Leroy Anderson, Dave Black, Carl Orff, Felix Mendelssohn, Gustav Holst and Michael Story will be performed by the Concert Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band Sunday, Nov. 23.
The concert, sponsored by the Department of Music, will be at 3 p.m. in Halling Recital Hall of the Performing Arts Center. General admission is $8; tickets for K-12 students are $4; and tickets for students with a valid MavCard are $4.
The Concert Wind Ensemble is a select instrumental group of approximately 45 wind and percussion players. The ensemble offers students an opportunity to read and perform the finest contemporary wind ensemble and traditional band literature. The Symphonic Band offers community members and non-music majors a quality ensemble perform experience.
Amy K. Roisum Foley, Joseph Timmer and Sarita Magno are directors of the ensembles.
