The Water Resources Center is taking on more applied research projects to improve water quality in the Minnesota River Basin, thanks to contracts and grants totaling $852,787 in the 2008 academic year.
The center was envisioned as a place where students and staff could get involved in water quality projects across the region and actively take part in applied research. Today it not only provides students with "real-world" research experience; it helps cities, counties and the state improve water quality for all Minnesotans.
