Capstone Publishers, Inc., a division of the Coughlan Companies, will provide three $2,000 scholarships to the Library Media Education program at Minnesota State University, Mankato in honor of Kenneth Pengelly, retired faculty member.
The scholarships, to be awarded for spring semester, are for students who demonstrate innovative use of non-fiction resources.
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer scholarships to our Library Media Education students, and we thank Capstone Publishers for their generous donation to our program,” said Deborah Jesseman, Library Media Education faculty member. “The program has experienced steady growth in the past couple of years, with the majority of students employed full-time and attending graduate school. These scholarships will reward the hard work and dedication by the students.”
