Bright Lights and Heroes, a Lakeville, Minn., band that takes its inspiration from U2, Led Zeppelin and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, will perform Friday, Feb. 6, at Minnesota State Mankato as part of the Mav Tunes series.
The concert, at 9 p.m. in the lower level of Centennial Student Union, is free and open to students, faculty, staff and the public.
Mav Tunes is a series of concerts hosted by the student organization IMPACT, the CSU and University Dining Services. Its purpose is to offer on-campus Friday night entertainment.
Bright Lights and Heroes features Normandale Community College student Reece Lamppa as lead singer, St. Olaf College student John Palmer as guitarist, Lakeville South High School student Dan Rosenbush on bass, and Lakeville North High School student Ron Jacobus on drums.
The quartet has been together for a little more than a year and has written 11 original songs.
